Probably no one locally has more passion for North and South Carolina weather forecasting than Meteorologist Christopher Cawley. Residing in Whiteville in Columbus County, North Carolina, Christopher is a trusted neighbor known for delivering the most reliable and thoughtful forecasts possible.
After interning with Wilmington’s WECT Television in the summer of 2016, Christopher earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 2017.
He began his professional career with the NOWCast Radio Weather Forecast Network in 2017 and has maintained a dedicated weather presence on Facebook since 2010. In addition, he has written a daily weather blog since November 2024.
Christopher is NWS Advanced SkyWarn Certified and FEMA‑NIMS Certified, reflecting his commitment to public safety and emergency preparedness.
As a storm chaser, Christopher has tracked and documented five local tornadoes. Since 2020, he has also developed a passion for nature and weather photography. Outside of forecasting, he is a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan, a proud dad to his son Nathan, and a local HAM radio operator (KK4CSR).
