Carolina Weather Watch Update for Sunday January 4, 2026
Here’s today’s Bottom Line:

Today’s report is a short one because, well, there just isn’t a whole lot to talk about!
Dry high pressure will start to build across the area today. We may start off with some clouds and patchy fog, but by mid-morning the sun should be shining, and will shine brightly through the afternoon hours.
Very quiet weather will be in place pretty much all week. The overall pattern will be one of a zonal flow (west-to-east). The surface high pressure will move offshore allowing a rather dramatic increase in temperatures beginning on Tuesday. Much-above-average temperatures will continue through the end of the week with no precipitation expected.
Our next weather system will approach from the west by next weekend. Until then, dry and springlike conditions can be expected.
